These Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) apply to your use of our Skip Bin Hire Services, whether ordered online, through our office, or in person. By placing an order, as outlined in your Order Summary, you agree to these terms.

Definitions

In this Agreement (including the Order Summary), the following terms have these meanings:

  • Charges: The rates and any additional fees specified in the Order Summary or incurred under this Agreement, inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.
  • Clean Fill Waste: Broken concrete, rocks, bricks, asphalt, clay, sand, soil, dust, dirt, and ceramic tiles, uncontaminated by other waste types and excluding Prohibited Material and General Waste.
  • Excess Collection Weight: Additional charges for Skip Bins exceeding the specified weight allowance (see Clause 7).
  • Excluded Material Charge: An administrative fee per Skip Bin, payable if it contains Prohibited Material or is contaminated (see Clause 6).
  • Garden Waste: Lawn cuttings, hedge trimmings, weeds, and leaves, as determined by us, excluding General Waste, Clean Fill Waste, and Prohibited Material.
  • General Waste: Household rubbish, excluding Prohibited Material.
  • GST: Goods and Services Tax as defined under New Zealand law.
  • Insolvency Event: You cease business, become insolvent, enter an arrangement with creditors, or have a receiver, liquidator, administrator, or similar official appointed, or are adjudicated bankrupt.
  • Notifiable Event: As defined in the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
  • Order Summary: The service order you complete, generated via our website or provided at booking.
  • Prohibited Material: Explosive, hazardous, illegal, dangerous, or fire-hazardous items or substances we cannot transport, as listed in Clause 5 or advised by us.
  • Service Address: Your address in the Order Summary, plus any additional site agreed upon.
  • Services: The waste and materials collection services specified in the Order Summary, adjustable by mutual agreement.
  • Skip Bin: The skip bin we supply to you.
  • Term: The hire period specified in the Order Summary.
  • We, Us, Our: Wheelie Bin Services Limited.
  • Workers: As defined in the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
  • You, Your: The customer named in the Order Summary.
  1. Making Orders

Our standard hire period is 7 days, and the Charges listed in your Order Summary reflect this. If you keep the Skip Bin beyond 7 days, an extra fee of $10 per day applies.

  1. Delivery and Removal

2.1 We’ll aim to deliver your Skip Bin on the booked day, but delivery and removal times depend on our schedule. Delays or failures don’t entitle you to a refund, discount, or cancellation.
2.2 We may defer collection of overloaded Skip Bins or those containing Prohibited Material until you rectify the issue. Additional hire fees of $10 per day may apply for delays caused by overloading or non-compliance.

  1. Skip Bin Placement and Access

3.1 Skip Bins cannot be lowered over fences or obstacles and must not be placed on roads or footpaths without a council permit.
3.2 You must not reposition Skip Bins once placed. We’re not liable for property damage caused by your repositioning.
3.3 You must provide satisfactory access for delivery, inspection, and collection at all reasonable times. If access isn’t provided, you may incur a call-out fee to cover our reasonable costs.
3.4 Satisfactory Access Requirements: For safe delivery and collection, the Skip Bin must:

  • Be placed on a hard, flat surface with at least 4m width.
  • Have no overhead obstructions (e.g., powerlines, awnings), with a clear height of 4m.
  • Be in an area with minimal pedestrian or vehicle traffic.
  • Allow our driver to exit without reversing onto high-speed or dangerous roads.
  1. Using and Caring for Your Skip Bin

4.1 You will:

  • Place only the intended waste type (General Waste, Clean Fill Waste, or Garden Waste) into the Skip Bin, securely and safely, complying with all legal requirements.
  • Attach any signs or labels we provide.
    4.2 You must not:
  • Light fires, place hot embers or ash, or overfill the Skip Bin.
  • Include Prohibited Material or cause contamination.
  1. Prohibited Materials

The following are classified as Prohibited Materials:

  • General Waste Skip Bins: Asbestos, hazardous/toxic waste, tyres (surcharge applies), large quantities of Clean Fill/hard fill/soil, liquids/paint, gas bottles (unless empty), lithium batteries, or items we deem hazardous, illegal, or unsuitable for landfill.
  • Garden Waste Skip Bins: All General Waste prohibited items, plus cabbage tree leaves, bamboo, flax, large tree stumps/logs, and animal faeces.
  1. Contamination of Skip Bins

6.1 If Prohibited Material contaminates a Skip Bin:

  • We may refuse collection.
  • Where practical, you may remove contamination while our truck is onsite. Alternatively, we’ll reschedule collection after you rectify it.
    6.2 If we collect a contaminated Skip Bin, you’ll pay an Excluded Material Charge of up to $4,000.00 (plus GST) to cover our additional disposal costs. This fee may vary depending on the circumstances.
  1. Overweight Skip Bins

If your Skip Bin exceeds the weight limits below, you’ll pay an additional $22.00 per 100kg over the limit:

  • 4.5m³: 1.0 tonne
  • 7.0m³: 1.3 tonnes
  • 9.0m³: 1.6 tonnes
  1. Ownership of Skip Bins

8.1 We retain full ownership of the Skip Bin. You may not grant security over or deal with it in a way that affects our ownership.
8.2 You must notify us promptly of any damage and indemnify us against loss, damage, claims, or injury arising from your use, excluding fair wear and tear.

  1. Disposal of Clean Fill Material

We aim to recycle Clean Fill Materials where possible but may dispose of them via alternative methods or landfill at our discretion.

  1. Payment

10.1 You must pay the Charges listed in your Order Summary at the time of booking, without any deductions.
10.2 Additional fees for overweight or contaminated Skip Bins will be invoiced separately, and you agree to pay upon notification.

  1. Title to Waste

11.1 Ownership of General Waste, Clean Fill Waste, and Garden Waste transfers to us upon removal from your Service Address.
11.2 Title and liability for Prohibited Material remain with you, even if collected.

  1. Your Liability

12.1 You are liable for Charges (including overweight/contamination fees), damage to Skip Bins (excluding fair wear and tear), and direct losses we incur due to your non-compliance.
12.2 You are not liable for our consequential or indirect losses (e.g., loss of profits).

  1. Our Liability

13.1 We’ll cover property damage we cause, up to the total Charges you paid us in the last 12 months. However, we’re not responsible for damage to access ways or underground fixtures caused by our vehicle’s weight.
13.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, or consequential losses (e.g., loss of business) arising from our actions, your inability to use the Skip Bin, or service disruptions.

  1. Privacy

14.1 You authorize us to collect, store, and use your personal information for payment processing and other purposes per our privacy notice, in compliance with the Privacy Act 2020.
14.2 We may obtain credit information from third parties and disclose Agreement details as needed for business purposes. You can request access to or correction of your personal information by contacting us, though a small fee may apply.

  1. Personal Property Securities Act (PPSA)

15.1 You waive your right to receive a verification statement under the PPSA.
15.2 At our request, you’ll execute documents or take steps to ensure our ownership remains a first-ranking perfected security interest.

  1. Communication

We may contact you via text, email, or phone. Send all correspondence to skipbin@wbsl.nz.

  1. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays caused by uncontrollable events (e.g., fire, flood, earthquake, pandemic), provided reasonable care couldn’t prevent them. We may adjust Services during such events, and both parties will cooperate to maintain waste collection where feasible.

  1. Consumer Guarantees Act

18.1 If you acquire Services for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, to the extent permitted by law and where fair and reasonable.
18.2 Where it applies, your rights remain intact unless limitation is fair and reasonable.

These Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern the provision of skip bin hire and waste management services by Wheelie Bin Services Limited (“WBSL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to commercial customers (“you,” “your,” or “the Customer”) paying on account via invoice. Definitions

  • Charges: Rates and additional fees specified in the Order Summary or incurred under this Agreement, inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.

  1. Ordering Services

1.1 How to Order: Bins may be ordered, exchanged, or removed by email (skipbin@wbsl.nz) or phone (0800 11 33 88). All requests must include a valid purchase order number and clear instructions for our drivers.
1.2 Standard Hire Period:

  • General Commercial Hire: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the standard hire period for Skip Bins is 7 days from delivery. An additional fee of $10 per day applies for each day beyond 7 days, except as outlined below.
  • Regular Emptying Schedules: For customers with bins emptied on a recurring basis (e.g., weekly, fortnightly, or monthly), the hire period and emptying frequency will be as agreed in your Order Summary or separate written arrangement. No additional daily fees apply unless the agreed schedule is exceeded without prior arrangement.
  • Project-Based Hire (e.g., Builders): For customers requiring bins onsite for the duration of a project (such as builders), bins may remain onsite until you request emptying or removal. Unless otherwise agreed, a 30-day hire period applies from delivery or the last emptying, with a charge of $2.00 per day for each day the bin remains onsite and is not emptied or removed beyond the initial 30 days.
  • Flexibility: Hire periods and charges may be varied by mutual agreement in writing to suit your specific requirements. Contact us at skipbin@wbsl.nz or 0800 11 33 88 to arrange custom terms.
    1.3 Responsibility: You are responsible for providing accurate instructions. WBSL is not liable for delays or costs due to unclear or incomplete details.
  1. Delivery, Placement, and Removal

2.1 Scheduling: We aim to deliver and collect Skip Bins on the booked day, subject to our operational schedule. Delays or failures do not entitle you to refunds, discounts, or cancellation.
2.2 Placement Requirements:

  • Skip Bins must be placed on a hard, flat surface with at least 4m width and 4m clear height (no overhead obstructions like powerlines).
  • Placement on roads or footpaths requires a council permit. Skip Bins cannot be lowered over fences or obstacles.
  • Areas must have minimal pedestrian/vehicle traffic and allow drivers to exit without reversing onto high-speed or dangerous roads.
    2.3 Access: You must ensure satisfactory access for delivery, inspection, and collection at all reasonable times. A call-out fee may apply if access is obstructed, covering our reasonable costs.
    2.4 Repositioning: You must not move Skip Bins once placed. We are not liable for property damage caused by your repositioning.
    2.5 Deferred Collection: We may defer collection of overloaded or non-compliant Skip Bins (e.g., containing Prohibited Material) until rectified. Additional hire fees (as per Clause 1.2) may apply during delays.
  1. Hire Periods

3.1 Skip Bin Hire:

  • For general hire, the standard period is 7 days with a $10 daily fee for extensions (see Clause 1.2).
  • For project-based hire, bins may remain onsite for up to 30 days from delivery or last emptying, with a $2.00 daily charge applying thereafter unless emptied or removed.
  • Regular emptying schedules are as agreed in your Order Summary or written arrangement.
    3.2 Hook Bin Hire: Standard hire is 1 day unless otherwise arranged in writing. Additional daily fees apply for extensions.
  1. Using and Caring for Skip Bins

4.1 Permitted Use: You must:

  • Place only the intended waste type (General Waste, Clean Fill Waste, or Garden Waste) into the Skip Bin, securely and in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Attach any signs or labels we provide.
    4.2 Prohibitions: You must not:
  • Overfill Skip Bins beyond the top edge (per NZTA rules).
  • Light fires, place hot embers/ash, or include flammable materials.
  • Include Prohibited Material or cause contamination.
  • Move the Skip Bin from its delivery location.
    4.3 Damage and Costs: You are liable for damage to Skip Bins (excluding fair wear and tear) and costs arising from misuse, inaccessibility, or non-compliance (e.g., excess weight, hazards).
  1. Prohibited Materials

5.1 General Waste Skip Bins: Prohibited items include asbestos, hazardous/toxic waste, tyres (surcharge applies), large quantities of Clean Fill/hard fill/soil, liquids/paint, gas bottles (unless empty), lithium batteries, and items we deem hazardous, illegal, or unsuitable for landfill.
5.2 Garden Waste Skip Bins: All General Waste prohibited items, plus cabbage tree leaves, bamboo, flax, large tree stumps/logs, and animal faeces.
5.3 Additional Prohibited Items (All Bins): Explosives, paints/varnishes/solvents, biohazards, pesticides/herbicides, fuels/lubricants, bulk liquids/sludges, ash from boilers/incinerators, contaminated soils, odorous/noxious wastes, human effluent, and insulation containing asbestos.
5.4 Conditional Items: Tyres are limited to 1% per load; additional charges apply if exceeded.

  1. Contamination of Skip Bins

6.1 Consequences: If Prohibited Material contaminates a Skip Bin:

  • We may refuse collection until rectified.
  • You may remove contamination onsite if practical, or we’ll reschedule collection after correction.
    6.2 Excluded Material Charge: If we collect a contaminated Skip Bin, you’ll pay a fee of up to $4,000 (plus GST), varying by disposal costs incurred.
  1. Weight Limits and Excess Charges

7.1 Limits:

  • 4.5m³ Skip Bin: 1,000 kg (1.0 tonne)
  • 7m³ Skip Bin: 1,300 kg (1.3 tonnes)
  • 9m³ Skip Bin: 1,600 kg (1.6 tonnes)
  • 30m³ Hook Bin: 6,000 kg (6.0 tonnes)
  • Hardfill Bins: No weight limit, provided contents comply with Clause 5.
    7.2 Excess Fees: Overweight Skip Bins incur a charge of $22 per 100 kg over the limit. Collection may be deferred until adjusted.

  1. Payment Terms

9.1 Invoice Payment: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due in full by the 20th of the month following the invoice date (e.g., March 15 invoice due April 20). Payments should be made to Wheelie Bin Services Ltd, account 03-0363-0411466-000, using the invoice number as reference.
9.2 Additional Fees: Charges for overweight bins, contamination, or extended hire will be invoiced separately and are payable upon notification.
9.3 Late Payment: Overdue amounts incur interest at 5% per month, calculated daily from the due date until paid. WBSL may suspend credit, require cash payment, or withhold services until all sums are cleared.
9.4 Disputes: Invoice disputes must be raised in writing within 7 days of receipt. Undisputed amounts remain payable by the due date.

  1. Disposal of Clean Fill Material

We aim to recycle Clean Fill Waste where possible but may dispose of it via alternative methods or landfill at our discretion.

  1. Liability

11.1 Your Liability: You are liable for:

  • All Charges (including additional fees).
  • Damage to Skip Bins (excluding fair wear and tear).
  • Direct losses we incur due to your non-compliance.
    You are not liable for our consequential or indirect losses (e.g., loss of profits).
    11.2 Our Liability:

  1. Health and Safety

12.1 You must comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, ensuring safe use of Skip Bins and reporting Notifiable Events to us immediately.
12.2 Our drivers may refuse collection if conditions are deemed unsafe.

  1. Termination and Suspension

13.1 Breach: We may terminate or suspend services for non-payment, misuse, or other breaches, without prejudice to recovering outstanding amounts.
13.2 Insolvency: Services may be terminated immediately if you experience an Insolvency Event.
13.3 Notice: Termination or suspension will be communicated in writing where practicable.

  1. Privacy

18.3 Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by New Zealand law, with disputes subject to New Zealand courts’ exclusive jurisdiction.

These Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern your use of our residential General Waste and Garden Waste collection services, ordered through our website, over the phone, or in person. By placing an order with us, as detailed in the Order Confirmation, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

Definitions

  • Wheelie Bin: The wheelie bin(s) we supply for waste collection.
  • Charges: The rates and any additional fees specified in the Order Summary or incurred under this Agreement.
  • General Waste: Household rubbish, excluding Prohibited Material.
  • Garden Waste: Lawn clippings, weeds, foliage, leaves, and hedge trimmings, excluding Prohibited Material and items listed in Clause 11.
  • Prohibited Material: Explosive, hazardous, illegal, dangerous, or noxious items or substances we cannot collect, as listed in Clause 9 or advised by us.
  • Order Summary: The service order you complete, provided at booking.
  • Service Address: Your address in the Order Summary.
  • Service Schedule: The collection frequency specified in the Order Summary (e.g., weekly, fortnightly).
  • We, Us, Our: Wheelie Bin Services Limited.
  • You, Your: The customer named in the Order Summary.
  1. Ordering Services
  • You agree to use our services on an ongoing basis until cancelled per Clause 7.
  • You must provide an email address and mobile phone number you check regularly, as these are our primary communication methods.
  1. Wheelie Bin Delivery
  • If you don’t already have a Wheelie Bin, we’ll deliver it within 5 working days of payment and order confirmation.
  1. Scheduled Collections
  • We’ll empty your Wheelie Bin on the scheduled collection date or within 2 working days after, unless we notify you in advance (via email or text) of a change due to holidays, operational issues, or other circumstances.
  1. Collection Breaks & Bin Holds
  • Collection Breaks: Request a break at least 24 hours before a scheduled collection via phone or email. A credit will be applied to your next invoice. Breaks cannot be applied retroactively.
  • Bin Holds: Notify us via phone or email to place a bin on hold (max 6 months). To resume service, provide 24 hours’ notice before the next scheduled collection. The next invoice date will shift by the hold duration.
  1. Charges
  • Charges are based on your Service Address and include GST. A change in address may alter the price.
  • Extra Waste Fees:
    • Extra 240L General Waste bin empty: $20.00
    • Extra 120L General Waste bin empty: $10.00
    • Extra 240L Garden Waste bin empty: $11.50
    • Extra 660L bin empty: $75.00
    • Extra 1100L bin empty: $127.00
    • Per extra bag (council-issued size): $4.00
    • Overflow (lid not closed): $4.00
  • Garden Waste in General Waste: Up to $15.00, based on volume.
  • Overweight Fees:
    • 120L bin limit: 25kg; overweight charge: $5.00
    • 240L bin limit: 50kg; overweight charge: $10.00
    • 660L bin limit: 150kg; overweight charge: $30.00
    • 1100L bin limit: 250kg; overweight charge: $50.00
    • If a bin is too heavy to move, it’s considered overweight.
  • Service Changes:
    • Admin fee for frequency/address changes: $5.00
    • Delivery fee for bin size swaps: $20.00
  1. Payment
  • Pay in advance: annually, six-monthly, or three-monthly at order submission, or via Direct Debit (weekly, fortnightly, or 4-weekly) for pay-as-you-go.
  • Additional fees (e.g., overflow, overweight) will be invoiced separately, payable within 7 days.
  1. Cancelling Your Service
  • Notify us via phone or email with 30 days’ notice to cancel. No refunds are provided for prepaid annual, six-monthly, or three-monthly subscriptions ended early.
  • Post-cancellation, you must allow us access to retrieve our Wheelie Bin. If we cannot retrieve it, you’ll be invoiced for the replacement cost.
  1. Money-Back Guarantee
  • If we fail to deliver your bin or collect waste per Clause 3, we’ll refund the missed service fee. Contact us within 5 working days of the missed service via our website to claim.
  1. Using and Caring for Your Wheelie Bin
  • You Will:
    • Place your Wheelie Bin out by 7am on collection day, on the grass verge or berm, wheels and handle facing the road, clear of obstructions (e.g., trees, cars, poles).
    • Contain all waste inside with the lid closed.
    • For Garden Waste bins, include only approved organic waste (see Clause 11).
    • Keep 660L and 1100L bins on hard, flat ground (e.g., concrete) for easy maneuvering.
  • You Will Not:
    • Light fires or place hot embers/ash in the bin.
    • Include Prohibited Material: liquids, explosives, toxic/hazardous items (e.g., asbestos, acids, solvents, paints, unwrapped glass, grease, oil, concrete), animal carcasses/entrails, or bulky items (e.g., branches, steel bars). Animal faeces/kitty litter must be bagged for General Waste.
    • Overfill or exceed weight limits (120L: 25kg; 240L: 50kg; 660L: 150kg; 1100L: 250kg).
  1. Extra Collections
  • In some areas, you may request extra collections for General Waste or Garden Waste bins, subject to availability and public holiday restrictions. Contact us in advance for scheduling. Extra collections do not affect your regular Service Schedule.
  • Fees:
    • 240L Garden Waste: $11.50
    • 660L: $75.00
    • 1100L: $127.00
    • 240L General Waste: $20.00
    • 120L General Waste: $10.00
  1. Garden Waste
  • Approved Items: Lawn clippings, weeds, foliage, leaves, hedge trimmings.
  • Prohibited Items: Bamboo, flax, dirt/soil, rocks, animal faeces, household rubbish, newspaper, compost, cooked food, woodchips, stumps, or branches over 100mm in diameter.
  • If prohibited items are found, we may refuse collection or charge up to $15.00.
  1. On-Property Collection
  • Offered in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.
  • Place bins near the front of your property, avoiding steep driveways, narrow paths, or steps. Unlock gates and secure dogs.
  • We may refuse if the site is unsafe. We’re not liable for property damage during on-property collection.
  1. Liability
  • You’re liable for damage to our bins (excluding fair wear and tear) and direct losses we incur due to your non-compliance.
  • We’re not liable for damage to private roads or property during servicing.
  1. Overdue Accounts
  • Pay by the due date. Late payments incur a 5% monthly fee on outstanding amounts, plus legal/debt collection costs if action is required.
  1. Making Changes
  • To Terms: We may update terms, notifying you 28 days in advance via our website if changes detrimentally affect you. Continued use post-notice implies acceptance; otherwise, you may terminate.
  • To Charges: Price increases will be emailed 28 days in advance.
  • To Services: Service changes within our control will be notified 28 days in advance via email and website.
  • By You: Address/frequency changes incur a $5.00 admin fee; bin swaps incur a $20.00 delivery fee.
  1. Privacy
  • You authorize us to collect, store, and use your personal information for payment and service purposes, per the Privacy Act 2020. You may access or correct it (a fee may apply).
  1. Force Majeure
  • Neither party is liable for delays due to uncontrollable events (e.g., fire, flood, pandemic), provided reasonable care couldn’t prevent them. We may adjust collections, and both parties will cooperate to maintain service where feasible.
  1. Consumer Guarantees Act
  • If acquired for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, to the extent permitted by law and where fair. Where it applies, your rights remain unless limitation is reasonable.

 

 

Terms and Conditions for Recycling Services

Effective as of March 24, 2025

These Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern your use of our residential recycling services, including Mixed Recycling, Cardboard Only, and Mixed Glass services, ordered through our website, over the phone, or in person. By placing an order with us, as detailed in the Order Confirmation, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

Definitions

  • Wheelie Bin: The wheelie bin(s) we supply for recycling collection.
  • Charges: The rates and any additional fees specified in the Order Summary or incurred under this Agreement.
  • Mixed Recycling: Plastics 1 (PET), 2 (HDPE), and 5 (PP), aluminum cans, steel tins, and cardboard, excluding Prohibited Material and contamination.
  • Cardboard Only: Clean, dry cardboard, excluding Prohibited Material and contamination.
  • Mixed Glass: Green, brown, and clear glass bottles and jars (whole, unbroken), excluding Prohibited Material and contamination.
  • Prohibited Material: Items or substances not permitted in the designated recycling service, as listed in Clause 9 or advised by us.
  • Contamination Charge: A fee for bins containing Prohibited Material or incorrect items (see Clause 9).
  • Order Summary: The service order you complete, provided at booking.
  • Service Address: Your address in the Order Summary.
  • Service Schedule: The collection frequency specified in the Order Summary (e.g., weekly, fortnightly).
  • We, Us, Our: Wheelie Bin Services Limited.
  • You, Your: The customer named in the Order Summary.
  1. Ordering Services
  • You agree to use our recycling services on an ongoing basis until cancelled per Clause 7.
  • You must provide an email address and mobile phone number you check regularly, as these are our primary communication methods.
  1. Wheelie Bin Delivery
  • If you don’t already have a Wheelie Bin for recycling, we’ll deliver it within 5 working days of payment and order confirmation.
  1. Scheduled Collections
  • We’ll empty your Wheelie Bin on the scheduled collection date or within 2 working days after, unless we notify you in advance (via email or text) of a change due to holidays, operational issues, or other circumstances.
  1. Collection Breaks & Bin Holds
  • Collection Breaks: Request a break at least 24 hours before a scheduled collection via phone or email. A credit will be applied to your next invoice. Breaks cannot be applied retroactively.
  • Bin Holds: Notify us via phone or email to place a bin on hold (max 6 months). To resume service, provide 24 hours’ notice before the next scheduled collection. The next invoice date will shift by the hold duration.
  1. Charges
  • Charges are based on your Service Address and include GST. A change in address may alter the price. Pricing for recycling services will be specified in your Order Summary.
  • Available Bin Sizes:
    • Mixed Recycling: 240L, 660L, 1100L
    • Cardboard Only: 240L, 660L, 1100L
    • Mixed Glass: 120L, 240L, 660L
  • Extra Waste Fees: Additional bins or collections beyond the Service Schedule incur fees (contact us for rates).
  • Contamination Fees:
    • Mixed Recycling: Up to $15.00 per bin if contaminated.
    • Cardboard Only: Up to $15.00 per bin if contaminated.
    • Mixed Glass: Up to $15.00 per bin if contaminated or containing broken glass.
  • Overweight Fees:
    • 120L bin limit: 25kg; overweight charge: $5.00 (Mixed Glass only)
    • 240L bin limit: 50kg; overweight charge: $10.00 (all services)
    • 660L bin limit: 150kg; overweight charge: $30.00 (all services)
    • 1100L bin limit: 250kg; overweight charge: $50.00 (Mixed Recycling and Cardboard Only)
    • If a bin is too heavy to move, it’s considered overweight.
  • Service Changes:
    • Admin fee for frequency/address changes: $5.00
    • Delivery fee for bin size swaps: $20.00
  1. Payment
  • Pay in advance: annually, six-monthly, or three-monthly at order submission, or via Direct Debit (weekly, fortnightly, or 4-weekly) for pay-as-you-go.
  • Additional fees (e.g., contamination, overweight) will be invoiced separately, payable within 7 days.
  1. Cancelling Your Service
  • Notify us via phone or email with 30 days’ notice to cancel. No refunds are provided for prepaid annual, six-monthly, or three-monthly subscriptions ended early.
  • Post-cancellation, you must allow us access to retrieve our Wheelie Bin. If we cannot retrieve it, you’ll be invoiced for the replacement cost.
  1. Money-Back Guarantee
  • If we fail to deliver your bin or collect recycling per Clause 3, we’ll refund the missed service fee. Contact us within 5 working days of the missed service via our website to claim.
  1. Using and Caring for Your Wheelie Bin
  • You Will:
    • Place your Wheelie Bin out by 7am on collection day, on the grass verge or berm, wheels and handle facing the road, clear of obstructions (e.g., trees, cars, poles).
    • Contain all recyclables inside with the lid closed.
    • Keep 660L and 1100L bins on hard, flat ground (e.g., concrete) for easy maneuvering.
    • For each service, include only approved items:
      • Mixed Recycling (240L, 660L, 1100L): Plastics 1 (PET), 2 (HDPE), 5 (PP), aluminum cans, steel tins, cardboard.
      • Cardboard Only (240L, 660L, 1100L): Clean, dry cardboard (e.g., boxes, free of tape, staples, or food residue).
      • Mixed Glass (120L, 240L, 660L): Green, brown, and clear glass bottles and jars (whole, unbroken).
  • You Will Not:
    • Light fires or place hot embers/ash in the bin.
    • Overfill or exceed weight limits:
      • 120L: 25kg (Mixed Glass only)
      • 240L: 50kg (all services)
      • 660L: 150kg (all services)
      • 1100L: 250kg (Mixed Recycling and Cardboard Only)
    • Include Prohibited Material or contaminants:
      • Mixed Recycling: Plastics 3, 4, 6, 7, glass, food waste, liquids, greasy/oily items (e.g., pizza boxes), hazardous materials (e.g., batteries, chemicals).
      • Cardboard Only: Wet/dirty cardboard, waxed cardboard, food waste, plastics, glass, hazardous materials.
      • Mixed Glass: Broken glass, ceramics, window glass, mirrors, light bulbs, plastics, lids/caps, hazardous materials.
  • If contaminated, we may refuse collection or charge up to $15.00 per bin to cover additional sorting or disposal costs.
  1. Extra Collections
  • In some areas, you may request extra collections for Mixed Recycling, Cardboard Only, or Mixed Glass bins, subject to availability and public holiday restrictions. Contact us in advance for scheduling and rates specific to your bin size:
    • Mixed Glass: 120L, 240L, 660L
    • Mixed Recycling and Cardboard Only: 240L, 660L, 1100L
  • Extra collections do not affect your regular Service Schedule.
  1. Recycling Disposal
  • We aim to process Mixed Recycling, Cardboard Only, and Mixed Glass for recycling. However, if items are contaminated or markets are unavailable, we may dispose of them via alternative methods or landfill at our discretion.
